Emperor Dragonfly Anax imperator
 
Identification: Large size. Males have a green thorax and blue abdomen. Females have a green abdomen. Some abdominal markings, but no spots. Dominant flight patterns.
Information: Distribution: England and Wales. June to August.
Similar species: All hawkers have spotted markings.
