Fallow Deer Dama dama
 
Identification: Reddish-brown uppers with spots, pale underparts. Tail: black against a white rump. White/pale horizontal line across the flanks. In winter greyer with less spots (thumbnail 1).
Information: Distribution: England and Wales. Scattered in Scotland and Ireland. Pale and dark coloured Fallow Deer occur.
Similar species:Sika Deer.
