Grey Seal Halichoerus grypus
 
Identification: Flat forehead and long snout. Smaller eyes in relation to head size, than Common Seal, gives a more 'aloof' look.
Information: Distribution: Scotland, Northern Ireland, scattered along the east coast of England. Also found scattered around Wales and Cornwall. Comes into conflict with man's use of the sea.
Similar species: Common Seal.
