Hen Harrier Circus cyaneus
 
Identification: Blunt wing-tips. Females and juveniles have classic ring-tailed plumage. Adult male is blue-grey with black wing-tips and white belly.
Information: Distribution: breeds scattered throughout Scotland and Ireland, winters in south-east and south-west Britain.
Similar species: Marsh Harrier, experience needed with Montagu's Harrier.
