Migrant Hawker Aeshna mixta
Identification: Medium sized hawker, like a small Common Hawker. Males have a brown abdomen boldly marked with blue, females marked with yellow. Immature are duller.
Information: Distribution: England and Wales. August to October. Often in large numbers along woodland rides in the autumn.
Similar species: Common Hawker, Southern Hawker, Hairy Dragonfly.
