Two-barred Crossbill Loxia leucoptera
Identification: The white wing bars are solid patches of white, not white edges to feathers. More light-weght than other crossbills. Likes spruces.
Information: Distribution: Irruptive rarity. Included here because of the possible confusion with Common Crossbill.
Similar species: Uncommonly, Common Crossbill can have white edges to the flight feathers.
