White-faced Darter Leucorrhinia dubia
Identification: White frons. Males black and red thorax and abdomen. Females have pale yellow markings on an otherwise dark darter. Small darter found on peat bogs.
Information: Distribution: Disjointed populations in northern Scotland, the Lake District, Cheshire and south-east England.
Similar species: The same size as Black Darter.
